Fællesskabsbænken is a flexible design focused on togetherness, reuse, and urban life. It consists of three parts that can be adjusted and expanded through a rotating mechanism: always leaving room for one more.

The prototype is partly made from recycled wood from the Sydhavn Recycling Center and draws inspiration from the local Fishing Harbor, reflecting the area’s identity.

 

At 'Grønne dage i Sydhavn 2025', the bench was presented as a meeting point and a setting for dialogue about sustainability and responsible resource use. It serves both as a piece of furniture and as a symbol of how design can foster community and sustainability in the city.
